The State and School Employees’ Health Insurance Plan now has a new benefit – online provider visits! Amwell provides you with a faster, easier way to see a provider. You can have around-the-clock video visits with a provider anytime on your smartphone, tablet or computer (webcam). All visits must be real-time video.
Beginning January 1, 2018, participants in the Plan may also request to see a registered dietitian through Amwell.
Amwell is easy to use, private and secure. And it’s FREE to enroll! Go to http://mssehip.amwell.com/ and see a provider now! Enter Service Key MSSEHIP.
- Your choice of trusted U.S. board-certified primary care physicians.
- Peace of mind with a doctor “on-call” 24/7 to provide care.
- Consultation, diagnosis and prescriptions (when appropriate).
Amwell services are available anytime, day or night. It's a perfect option when it’s after hours and your doctor’s office is closed, you’re too sick or busy to see a physician in person, or traveling and unable to see your primary care physician.
What can I use the service for?
- Registered Dietitian
- Pink eye
- Ear infection
- Abdominal pain/cramp
- Cold, flu and fever
- Urinary tract infection
- And more!
What is the Cost?
If you have Select Coverage, an Amwell visit is only $10. For those with Base Coverage, the $10 copay applies once the deductible has been met. Until then, the visit is only $49.
So next time you need to go to the doctor, but can't wait for an appointment, just tap the Amwell app on your phone, or go online, and get on the road to recovery fast.
Other network providers may offer these services. Check with your provider to see if online doctor visits are available. To be eligible for this benefit, all visits must be "real-time" video chats.
